Originally founded in 1960 something.

Founded again in 2022 by the baron brothers.

A beginning is a very delicate time.

TLDR —

We decided to turn our watch hobby into a watch business. We found out that our Grandfather already had skin in the game.

A vintage Baron watch.

This is Ralph Baron sometime in the 1980s. He was in his sixties and smoked two packs a day.

Ralph Baron

As the story goes, our Grandfather Ralph Baron had the opportunity to buy overstock watches from Bulova. Bulova was liquidating inventory, and Ralph’s sixth sense was recognizing the right place at the right time.

His primary business was radio stations. He bought them, and made them work.

He wasn’t focused on watches, just potential. His business partner was the originator of the Bulova deal. Ralph put up the money and the name. The dials were changed to reflect the Baron brand. Throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s, Baron watches were sold in several department stores up and down the east coast. To this day, you can still find vintage Baron Watches online.

This is Ralph Baron sometime in the 1950s. He’s here with two of his three sons, Robert (our father) and our uncle Meyer.

Neither one of us knew Grandpa Ralph. He passed away too young. We heard about the man he was, his time in the army, business ventures, and timely farts.

Uncle Robert

Brothers Mike and Josh grew up in South Florida and lived all over the country but were always connected through a passion for watches. A passion sustained by an Uncle who would talk endlessly about his extensive watch collection.

Once in a while, Uncle Robert would gift each of us a very silly watch, which was always greatly appreciated. These early moments started a time-honored tradition. For 20 years, the three of us have gotten together and spent hours talking about watches. Watches, fishing, and outer space.

In 2022, our passion changed from collection to creation.

Baron Watch Co. is the creative vision of brothers Mike and Josh. We want to share our story and connect and collaborate with enthusiasts. Our ultimate goal is to produce small batches of timepieces that people will love.

Baron Watch Co was reborn with three things in mind

To make new friends.
To make things that are different.
To be better tomorrow than we are today.
